On the point: It's political correctness gone mad...

Tottenham fans have always called themselves the Yid Army, and people don't really know what the chant means any more. Where do you stop? Should we stop calling scousers chavs? or stop making fun of the french? or the poncy italians? is that racism? obviously there's a line that shouldn't be crossed but the spirit has left the grounds of so many clubs that lets not dampen the atmosphere even more...

Maybe we should! Look at all the racial slurs you have managed to create. And whilst the English may have accepted it as part of the norm of the game, many do not. Perhaps we are in the wrong for saying all these things based upon where people are from. Regardless of our intention, we are placing labels onto people because of where they come from. Surely, in life all that matters is who we are as people, in football, all that matters is how well we play. To slander someone because of where they come from, a factor beyond their control, is mindless and inconsiderate.
